TravMed Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions set out the rules and guidelines that govern your use of TravMed's medical tourism coordination, facilitation, and support services. They explain your rights, responsibilities, and obligations when interacting with our services, and they form a legally binding agreement between you and TravMed ("we", "our", "us").
By accessing or using our services, including but not limited to consultations, medical arrangements, travel planning, and other support related to medical tourism, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should refrain from using our services.
These Terms are designed to ensure that all users have a clear understanding of how our services operate, what to expect when engaging with us, and the scope of responsibilities on both sides, creating a safe, transparent, and reliable experience for everyone involved.
2. Role of TravMed
TravMed functions exclusively as a coordination and facilitation platform for individuals seeking medical tourism services. Our role is to assist in organizing and managing your medical travel experience, including connecting you with medical providers, scheduling appointments, and helping with logistical arrangements.
It is important to note that TravMed is not a hospital, clinic, healthcare provider, or travel operator. We do not directly provide any medical care, healthcare services, or travel arrangements ourselves. As such, TravMed does not offer medical diagnosis, medical advice, treatment recommendations, or perform any medical procedures.
All medical services, advice, and treatment are provided solely by the licensed healthcare providers with whom we coordinate. TravMed's role is limited to facilitating communication and arrangements between you and these providers to ensure a smooth and organized medical tourism experience. Users are responsible for consulting with their chosen medical providers directly for all health-related decisions and treatments.
3. Medical Providers and Medical Responsibility
All medical services, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment planning, surgeries, medical procedures, counseling, aftercare, and clinical decision-making, are performed exclusively by independent licensed healthcare providers. TravMed does not participate in providing, supervising, or controlling any aspect of medical care.
TravMed does not employ, supervise, or exercise control over any doctor, nurse, surgeon, anesthesiologist, clinic staff, or medical institution involved in your care. The platform's role is strictly limited to coordinating and facilitating access to these providers and supporting logistical aspects of your medical tourism experience.
By using TravMed's services, the patient acknowledges and agrees that all medical risks, treatment options, and potential outcomes must be discussed directly with the treating healthcare professional
TravMed is not responsible for the performance, decisions, or actions of any medical provider. Patients are encouraged to seek comprehensive information from their chosen providers and make informed decisions regarding their medical care.
4. Payment Handling
TravMed may handle payments in one of two ways, depending on the specific case and the agreements we have with our medical partners. First, TravMed may assist in facilitating payments directly between the patient and the medical provider, where the patient pays the provider without TravMed handling the funds. Alternatively, TravMed may receive payment from the patient and transfer the corresponding amount to the medical provider on the patient's behalf, acting as an intermediary to simplify the payment process.
Regardless of the payment method used, TravMed acts solely as a payment coordinator and does not influence or determine the pricing, billing procedures, or payment terms set by the medical provider. TravMed is not responsible for additional costs that may arise, including but not limited to post-operative medication expenses, extra medical procedures, unforeseen hospital stays, or other charges determined by the medical provider. All financial obligations, billing updates, and payment-related decisions are the responsibility of the patient and the healthcare provider directly.
5. Fees and Refund Policy
TravMed's coordination fees are non-refundable once our services have commenced, as these fees cover the time, resources, and logistical support required to facilitate your medical tourism experience. Fees paid directly to medical providers—including doctor fees, hospital charges, and procedure costs—are subject to the refund policies of the respective medical provider and are not controlled by TravMed.
TravMed is not responsible for issuing refunds in cases related to medical complications, treatment cancellations, changes in treatment plans, schedule adjustments, or situations where the patient is deemed medically unsuitable by the healthcare provider. All such decisions and associated financial implications are determined solely by the independent medical provider, and patients are encouraged to review the provider's refund and cancellation policies before proceeding with treatment.
6. Travel, Accommodation, and Logistics
TravMed may support planning for flights, airport transfers, hotels, interpreters, and transportation. These services are provided through independent third-party suppliers. TravMed does not manage, control, or guarantee third-party logistics providers and is not responsible for flight cancellations, visa refusal, travel delays, hotel conditions, safety incidents, or schedule changes.
7. No Guarantee of Results
TravMed may assist in planning and coordinating travel-related services to support your medical tourism experience. This can include arrangements for flights, airport transfers, hotel accommodations, interpreters, and local transportation. All such services are provided through independent third-party suppliers, over whom TravMed has no operational control.
While we facilitate these arrangements to make your journey smoother, TravMed does not manage, supervise, or guarantee the performance of any third-party logistics providers. As such, TravMed cannot be held responsible for issues that may arise during travel, including but not limited to flight cancellations or delays, visa refusals, travel disruptions, changes in hotel conditions, safety incidents, or alterations to schedules. Patients are advised to communicate directly with the relevant providers regarding bookings, policies, and contingencies, and to make travel decisions with full awareness of potential risks.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TravMed shall not be held liable for any outcomes, complications, or losses that may arise in connection with the use of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, medical decisions made by independent healthcare providers, surgical complications, treatment failures, or any adverse health outcomes.
Additionally, TravMed is not responsible for travel-related issues, such as delays, cancellations, visa refusals, or accommodations, nor for any personal injury, emotional distress, financial loss, or other damages resulting from services provided by third parties, including medical providers, hospitals, or travel suppliers. Users acknowledge and agree that TravMed's role is limited to coordination and facilitation, and that all risks associated with medical procedures, travel arrangements, and third-party services are borne by the patient and the respective providers.
9. Patient Responsibilities
The patient holds full responsibility for providing accurate and complete medical information to both TravMed and the healthcare providers involved in their care. This includes disclosing relevant medical history, current health conditions, medications, allergies, and any other information that may impact diagnosis, treatment planning, or surgical procedures
Patients are also responsible for confirming the suitability of the recommended treatment with their treating doctor, ensuring that they fully understand the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. In addition, patients must take responsibility for arranging all necessary travel documentation, such as passports, visas, and other entry requirements, to ensure a smooth medical tourism experience.
Finally, patients are expected to follow all medical advice, instructions, and post-procedure care recommendations provided by their healthcare providers. Compliance with medical guidance is essential to support safe treatment outcomes and to reduce the risk of complications during and after the procedure.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
By using TravMed's services, you agree that any legal matters, claims, or disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the use of our services, or any interactions with TravMed shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts
Both TravMed and the patient agree to comply with applicable UAE laws in all matters concerning medical tourism coordination, payments, travel arrangements, and related services. Any disagreements or disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be addressed through the legal processes established under UAE jurisdiction, ensuring that matters are handled according to the country's legal framework.
